The irony, of course, is that Christianity is the religion of the colonialist.

Priests have murdered many philosophers, Philosophers have not killed priests.
Dr Verwoerd the Father of Apartheid studied Theology in the Netherlands. Once in power his pugnacious Christian zealots banned anything that criticized them or their God. Now remnants of that despotic period are raising their ugly heads and are getting Pic n Pay to ban a students mag that is speaking its mind...STOP THEM

I found the Atheist Nation guys kind of jolly-hockey- sticks - hey - were - atheists - don't -expect- us -to- do- anything. South African- Skeptics should join as a group here at Athiest Nexus, the Ning technoloy is superior.

What I like about Athiest Nexus is that Brother Richard chooses relevant casues, all we have to do is emulate his ideas here in South Africa.

So I don't know if you guys know about this, but there's a couple of SA based sites that might be of interest to you. Atheist Nation is a similar site to Atheist Nexus, but with more local people. And the South African Skeptics are always looking for more members. Both sites try to have regular social meetings.

Hi guys! I just got a message from Leon Coetzer concerning any gatherings of African atheists. I don't know how many of you are aware there's an active atheist group in South Africa, Atheist Nation. Were having our summer social on the 28th of November, at Jo'burg Zoo. And you're all invited! Hope to see some of you there.

I also live with Fundamentalist Christian. Understanding the truth will be a massive opener for Africa. I read a lot about Paleoanthropology, so African Origins is really important to me. Take a look at my writing in "God's First Fishermen", at www.philipcopeman.com

Mumba - I am afraid you don't qualify, I STILL have not met and Atheist Black South African. But I'm searching...
