The full quote is this:

"1 Corinthians 7:4 -- The wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband does. And likewise the husband does not have authority over his own body, but the wife does"

but where does it say that men must be submissive to her? And doesnt the above quote merely specify that a woman should submit to her husband and that he should not exploit that submission?I dont think it means that a man be submissive like is expected of the woman. Obviously if they expect him to be the 'head' then that is above the one who isnt still putting him above the woman. Its about the same 'responsibility' as that of master to slave.

Whoever said people were peaceful? I expect there is a correlation between dysfunctional people and faith but this family sound well wierd.
