What do you expect from an atheist organization?

What sort of benefits would make you join an atheist organization? What issues do you want them to address? Any feedback would be appreciated.

I want them to address harrassment on the job for being a nontheist ...discrimination all around...including holding public office.  I would want them to fight for separation of church and state and to stay out of politics...no left or right.  I would want them to work on public relations with the media, like gays did..a kinda, "See,, we are just nice, normal folks, not evil peeps!".
