Two Interesting Stories on Huffington Post this Morning....

Atheist Billboard in Texas

A billboard positioned on a highway between Dallas and Fort Worth, Texas, is raising eyebrows with its controversial message: "Quit the church: Put women's rights over bishops' wrongs."

The Freedom of Religion Foundation placed the sign on Interstate 30 in opposition to lawsuits filed by the Roman Catholic Dioceses of Dallas and Fort Worth over the Obama Administration's contraception mandate, WTSP-TV reports.

Mormons Resign From Church:

SALT LAKE CITY, June 29 (Reuters) - Troubled by issues ranging from polygamy to gay marriage, several dozen Mormons plan to resign this weekend from the church en masse in an unusual public show of defiance in Salt Lake City.

Organizers say participants in Saturday's mass resignation will gather in a public park to sign a "Declaration of Independence from Mormonism," followed by a hike up Ensign Peak, scaled in 1847 by then-church President Brigham Young to survey the spot where his Latter-day Saints would build a city.

The billboard is great, but that mass resignation is truly amazing.  It sounds as though there are at least a few mormons who have been come tired of the diktat coming from the LDS hierarchy and are willing to act on their displeasure.  ABOUT TIME!

prepare for reason rally going HUGE!

My reply to these Mormans is, "What took you so long?"  (Also, "Thanks you.")

That's great! :)

Yeah FFRF!!
