i'll link to a few of them.
first, the Colbert Report:
some good bits, including Arizona's pre-life law and Mitt Romney's insulting cookie comment at a small town picnic. the final segment in particular was awesome. Colbert interviews a Creationist!
next up, the Daily Show:

the segment with Herman Cain is spectacular. must see tv.
finally, Rachel Maddow:

the whole show was excellent. the first piece was about "the pill kills" campaign. she went on to talk about the GOP transformation on abortion to the far far far extreme right. the 3rd segment was about ALEC and another shadowy conservative group.

The creationist dude (can't remember his name nor do I want to) was, well, amazing. I am glad I don't have kids going to school in this state - I would have a lot of home schooling to do on top of their regular curriculum. Just plain ignorant - and scary.
my favorite part of the Cain interview was the end, after not being able to answer a single question cogently, delivered a perfect speech to the "citizens of earth". it was a perfect example of how politicians can be idiots, yet deliver a strong message full of bunk.
Permalink Reply by booklover on April 24, 2012 at 11:46am I love all of those shows. Wouldn't being a writer on Colbert's show be one of the most fun jobs ever?~ Melinda
hell, just being a researcher would be fun.
Permalink Reply by booklover on April 24, 2012 at 4:11pm Actually working on the show doing anything would be fun I think! I'd make the coffee and sweep the floors in order to hang-around all those smart, fun people all day! :) (NOT putting-down people who make coffee and sweep floors! That's about all I'm qualified to do after being home for over 20 years!, doesn't bother me!)
