Permalink Reply by yusuf on June 9, 2012 at 6:34am India has much more cults as being developing country and prevailing poverty, even educated people fall for all kinds of godmen, whether its satya sai baba or osho. There are many shia islamic cults in indian subcontinent like qadiyani and dawoodi bohras.
Truth is that any organisation can be converted into cult using some common, deceptive, manipulating techniques and any person can be recruited and is susceptible.
