Ok Libertarians~ my other stomping grounds are dead, so maybe this would be a good time to finally defend your beliefs.  Thats right, I said beliefs, because as far as I've seen there is no realistic, rational basis for ANY of the claims that the so called "libertarian" base makes.  In fact, almost all evidence in context points away from your "ideal" society.  So we will make it simple~ all you need to do is state your case, then back it up with something that can be considered evidence.  That is, some relevant example of your policy or idea put into action, because all I see is a bunch of whiners trying to make America more like Somalia.

Attitude doesn't matter.  This is a continuation of a long battle between persons who will remain unnamed~ if this thread doesn't take off, it won't bother me any.  Thanks for your input though.
You came into it with a good one, Nerd?

btw, I love what you did with the initial post~ can I give it a try?

k "queer-bashers"~ my other stomping grounds are dead, so maybe this would be a good time to finally defend your beliefs. Did I do it right?

[edited for grammar]

If anything, Nerd, I built this room and put a sign on the door.  Mind you, I fully understand how aggression can dissuade conversation; however, at the same time, I'm no stranger to the notion that a good tag-line and aggressive statement against a person's deeply held beliefs can also instigate conversation.

I guess the irony is just too much~ No one here bats an eye when someone goes on about how stupid it is for people to pray for rain; but when I bring up the people who put faith in "the invisible hand of the market" I'm told to be nicer (not necessarily referring to you, Nerd).  People can go on and on about how churches shouldn't be tax exempt due to their interference with politics; but bringing up the people who really want to give more power to corporations needs to be handled delicately.  We will go on and on about how fucked up religions are with their barbaric rituals and medieval beliefs~ but when I address the people who are actually advocating disassembling the federal gov't (and therefore our society) sensibilities are offended.

Btw, Nerd, I've been in other conversations with you, and I like the way you think~ but it is you who walked into my room and went "tsk tsk."

I guess I'm feeling particularly masochistic today
The antagonism in this OP seems quite contradictory to the community building purpose of this sight. Disagreement is one thing, but this is out right hostility. No one cares about your ongoing conversations except perhaps those directly involved. If you wish to continue comparing genitalia with them perhaps a more private medium would be in order. If you wish to start a discussion on an open community forum perhaps you should be open to actual discussion instead of looking to continue your petty fight.
This is Atheist Nexus, a website devoted to those people who do not have religious beliefs~ and the community here sees fit to disparage, quite often in vitriolic terms, those religious beliefs that people hold.  I am merely asking a select group to back up their political beliefs and present evidence for them.  As I reread my initial post, I see nothing derogatory or slanderous in it.  If it offends your delicate sensibilities, I suggest you look elsewhere or contact a moderator, who will determine if this kind of discussion is against the terms of agreement for this website.  Otherwise, have a nice day.
I did not say that it was derogatory or slanderous, I said it was antagonistic and hostile. I'll add unproductive to that. It only 'offends' me in that it seems to be the hot headed, emotional and irrational jab of a worked up individual who has opted to turn off his thinking cap.

As for this site's purpose: It is to provide atheists with a 'safe' area to meet others of a like mind and engage in rational discourse regarding subjects that are of interest to us. I saw nothing rational in your OP and therefore found it pointless.
where is the irrationality in it?  yes, its heated~ so what?  I've spent (infuriating) weeks on this site discussing this topic, and I guess my real question would be who are you to scold me for my tone?
A thinking human being, did I need permission to criticize you? I'm sorry, I'll ask first next time.
You're criticizing me for criticizing you for criticizing me for criticizing libertarians~ big plate of irony, anyone?
Libertarianism:The idea that if you give all your money to the rich it will some how trickle down to the rest of us peasants.
