Luckily, the noise I hear from Texas teachers is they don't pay much attention to the Board of Education. They all think they know better and most of them are probably right!

That IS some scary shit.  My only first cousin lives in TX.  She and I are night and day on religion and politics.  Luckily, she lives in TX and I live in Northern, IL so we don't see each other! lol

TX is chock full of cartel influence.. tiz one of the many frontlines against organized crime mobs imho connected to mobs in italy (see the killing of teenagers at school today? on cnn etc.. )

This probably should not have shocked me as much as it did (especially since I am in Texas). I actually thought my coworkers were playing a joke on me because they know I am an atheist. Sadly, this was no joke. This actually happened.
