On November 22, 2009, the 150th anniversary of Darwin's Origin of Species, Kirk Cameron and his crownies will be visiting a number of universities to deliver 50,000 altered copies of Origin of Species which will include an introduction explaining "Adolf Hitler's undeniable connection" to the theory of evolution, and highlighting "Darwin's racism" and "his disdain for women." Cameron's edition also exposes the "many hoaxes" of evolutionary theory, while presenting a "balanced view of Creationism."

These, as we well know, are lies and must be stopped. So far, we know that these books will be handed out at the University of Washington, Portland State University, and Oregon State University.

Kirk Cameron, himself intellectually challenged, has no credibility with anyone with an IQ above ambient room temperature.

Apart from the arrogance,I find the stupidity of his 50,00 free Darwin books hilarious.

I have a lot of confidence in the intelligence and critical faculties of the average student at the top 50 US universities.I think most will take the book, rip out the 50 pages and laugh at the fool. Those who are taken in,probably would have been at some time anyway.

I also support the principle of free speech. I do not support suppressing the views of others on the grounds that I think they are stupid, irrational or just plain wrong. I have no doubt that Cameron falls within the broad category of "pig ignorant-sincere-idiot". I support his right to speak, and agree he should be answered, but not suppressed.

My position is based on self interest, not altruism. It is to my advantage to live in a free society where dissent is tolerated. That means I always have the right to day "Fuck you!" and more importantly, "Fuck the government!" To protect the rights of others is to protect my own rights.
I also support free speech, which is why I'd have no problem stopping him from spreading these lies - since I am not a member of congress nor do I work for any government agency.

Mark Twain once observed, “A lie can get halfway around the world before the truth can even get its boots on.”
Is there a way we can get a list of all the universities where they will be without increasing the hit count by all going to their site to look? \
I would like to be at whatever local university armed with a pretty complete refutation of their lies to mock them and ask why Ray won't debate Matt D :).
The sad part is he thinks college students would believe him over Darwin. I bet just 50 pages of the origin will do more damage to his cause the foreward 50 pages will do to help.
I never really liked the origin of species anyway since it fails to explain the existence of people like Bill O'Reilly, Kirk Cameron, and Tom Cruise.

But seriously this guy can't get a real acting job anymore because he wasn't that good anyway, so he has to turn to being a Pied Piper for the Jesus freak Tiger Beat crowd?
