Spamalot

Groups are getting spammed.  I think it is insurance peddling.

I got those emails too.
Yeah it was insurance.

I notified the webmaster. Doubt there is much they can do other than boot the arse who did it and permanently ban the email addie.

James, if a spammer gets through our new member moderation, we are dependent on members reporting the violations to us. As soon as they are discovered, they are gone. If you get another email, please report the user's profile to us immediately.
