I am afraid to ask christian acquaintances about Hati. I fear that they will say that God was fed-up with them or something similar and I just couldn't handle it.

Why do Christians come right out and exclaim they are Christians. They seem to think that being "Christian" means that they are automatically good. While I feel that my ethics and humanitarian efforts are normally superior I am too afraid to say that I am not a believer.

I do believe in Religious freedom and would fight for their right to practice Christianity. As Woody Allen's movie title reads "Whatever Works." However, non Christians do not have the same freedoms.

This ordeal in Massachusetts has just baffled me. I thought that as a country we were healing and I can not understand why middle class workers would vote a Dick Cheney replica into the Senate. Are they mad or self destructive? The Republicans destroyed this country in 8 years flat and especially Massachusetts.

Its very strange all round, Haiti is basically used to service the American cruise ships and the very same people who were quite happy to go on these cruises are now thinking to themselves' Oh my God these people don't even have mobile phones!!!' they send some money and the money goes str8 to the corrupt politicains.Who is to blame for the poverty and the corrupt policians? well step forward the American government and take a bow, how else are you going to keep a subservient population to service those very lucrative cruise ships that are still going out that way?
