Permalink Reply by Madhukar Kulkarni on November 18, 2011 at 9:40am This subject is of a great importance to atheists. Atheism without humanism is like a man without a heart, a thing of no importance. Rational thinking beyond atheism leads one to humanism as an alternative to blind beliefs in god and religion. I am rather amazed that this discussion has not attracted replies. An atheist who becomes an atheist because personal experiances may not look beyond atheism but an atheist who becomes an atheist after renouncing faith in god and religion after a long rational thinking can not loose sight of humanism. It does not speak well of atheists to neglect such a subject. We seem to be makilng sometimes irrelevant and sometimes frivilous replies to various discussions. What future atheism will have without humanism?
