I don't have a link to post, because it only just aired minutes ago on the Rachel Maddow show (maybe there will be a link up later), but Ms. Maddow was interviewing a reporter from the Huffington Post whose name I didn't even pay attention to, and they were talking about the crisis in the Ukraine over the Russians getting ready to invade and/or occupy. It was brought up how President Obama has the power to place sanctions on Russia, but that he doesn't have the power to send monetary help to the Ukraine without Congressional approval. Apparently, according to the Huff Post reporter, the Republicans are willing, essentially, to allow World War III to commence unless the IRS does not  enforce the law on dark money, such as from the Koch brothers. To quote the reporter: "It's bananas". It is pretty crazy. "Allow us to break the law in order to win elections, or we allow WW III".

And now the question becomes ... just how obtuse (and therefore stupid) does Congress want to be?

Was this it:

interview with Ryan Grim, Washington, D.C. bureau chief for The Huffington Post, talks with Rachel Maddow about the strange Republican objections that are potentially holding up America’s ability to act in Ukraine.

Yes Joan, that's it. Thanks.

I don't really understand what you're saying here.

I thought Republicans were all for secret campaign contributions, anonymous corporations, etc.

I'm not eager to send a billion dollars of tax money (as guaranteed loans) to a bunch of Neo-Nazis anyway.

Ruth:

The Republicans are for secret campaign contributions, etc., but some of those contributors are known, such as the Koch brothers. They're afraid that if the IMF gets involved it will lead to enforcement of the law by the IRS over these dark money (i.e., anonymous), contributions.

Anyone in congress not willing to do their job should lose it.

The world is all madness and the making of money. What the public in any country is told about the issue will not be the truth.
