Permalink Reply by Jerry Wesner on June 30, 2012 at 5:12pm This article again proves that you can either think or believe. There's no middle ground. If you think, you won't believe. If you believe, you can't think. Anyone claiming to be a rational religionist is either deluded or profiting from deluding others.

Martin on July 1, 2012 at 11:01am It is all right to think and believe, even to hope, when one does not know the facts or when the thesis is not yet finished studying for evidence for and evidence against. But the thinking and believing cannot go on forever. One who attempts again and again critical analysis of a proposition and coming up with not even a scintilla or shred of testimony to the truth of the matter might yet as well be placed in a padded room and in a straightjacket perhaps as well. One might simply say that the theory of evolution has been proved beyond disputation, while the theory of God rises not even to anything greater than, e.g. post hoc "miracles," the hocus pocus of priests, and an endless franchise of Armageddon theories.
