No no no, this is a case of it taking one to know one. Who better to single out nazis than a nazi? I don't think Godwin has much sway in locating the pope's old war buddies. His spokesman said it the best!

"I think the Pope knows rather well what the Nazi ideology is".
Truer words were never spoken.
i agree. he is just hoping none of the sheep bother to ask Google if he's being honest.
He had to know people like Dawkins would have a response though.
Just read this on BBC myself. His bloody church was complicit in many Nazi crimes, if not by direct involvement, then by turning its many heads the other way. The British Humanist Association's reply was very succinct. So now the Catholic church has basically resorted to namecalling to call on it's peurile masses to equate atheism with Nazism. This really, really, pisses me off.

I can't really bring myself to anger. More incandescent amusement. Is that the best insult he has?

Apart from being factually and historically inaccurate, it's the kind of extreme comment we've come to expect from this lot.

And in that sense looses some of it's 'punch'

Hear that lads? The conspiratorial kiddy fucker is calling us Nazis. Bring it on Blondy.
What else would you expect from the Catholic church? The truth? Please. If catholics cared about reality, there wouldn't be any catholics.

When a picture says more than a thousand words.
or just 99...

"We can recall how Britain and her leaders stood against a Nazi tyranny that wished to eradicate God from society and denied our common humanity to many, especially the Jews.

"I also recall the regime's attitude to Christian pastors and religious who spoke the truth in love, opposed the Nazis and paid for that opposition with their lives.

"As we reflect on the sobering lessons of the atheist extremism of the 20th century, let us never forget how the exclusion of God, religion and virtue from public life leads ultimately to a truncated vision of man and of society," he added.
In 1941, according to the diary of Nazi General Gerhart Engel, Hitler stated "I am now as before a Catholic and will always remain so." (wiki)

Come together one and all

Hello fellow atheists!  I have joined this site in an attempt to find other rational individuals, such as myself, and to promote a current charity drive that I am trying to get going for the Oklahoma tornado victims.  I have managed to get many groups from around my area, including the Beyond Belief Foundation to back me on this endeavor.

I am located in Newnan, Ga and have my own atheist group entitled "Coweta County Atheists".  I am currently being backed by Spaulding Co.…

Pope's 'exorcism' caught on film video

Posted by Debra Stevenson on May 21, 2013 at 2:37pm 0 Comments

There is a video of the Pope's 'exorcism' caught on film.  The man isn't demon possessed, there are likely no 'real' demons.  He's just delusional and doesn't want to accept personal responsiblity for his own behavior for his own dysfunctional life.

Do you support 'traditional' marriage, vot now ad

There is an ad that reads ' Do you support 'traditional' marriage? Vote Now"!  .

No, I don't support 'traditional' marriage because there is no such thing. I support heterosexual and same-sex couples marry each other legally , yes.  'Traditional' marriage promoters largely do not believe that heterosexual women are co-equal to their husbands.  Their only purpose in 'traditional' marriage is to sexually satisfy their husbands if they can and raise children and do all…

i've got no problem with everyone saying "merry christmas" on christmas day.  however, they've turned it into an entire holiday season where it lasts a month or more.  in those situations it should be perfectly acceptable to say "happy holidays" or call it a…
