This poll is directed to any A|N member who lives in a democracy and has the right to vote. There is really no way to do polls here, so I will start this as a discussion thread.

It is a tough issue. On the one hand we have every right to protect our borders, our nation, our people, etc., and yet on the other hand is the humanitarian issue. I do believe things are worse in Mexico than in the US, but is that our responsibility to fix? I don't think so. But no matter how we feel about it, there is no denying that the legal and illegal immigration presence does affect our economy, and our humanity. I often don't know where I stand on this issue.

3. How many years ago was that? 50 years ago

4. Did you come from a family that was involved in politics, or always took time to vote? Yes, my mother was involved in Democrat politics; I had a couple of uncles who were active in the IWW (Wobblies) and I was active in my union in getting out the vote.

5. Do you vote in:
a. Every single election
b. 75% or more of all elections Yes
c. About 50% of all elections
d. Less than 50% of all elections
e. Only for the really important offices

6. Do you consider yourself an informed voter?
a. Extremely informed Yes
b. Moderately informed
c. Poorly informed

7. Does a candidate’s views on religion and atheism, or their personal religious beliefs, affect your choice? Marginally, my main concern is whether I think they can separate their religion from their responsibilities

8. Do you always vote along party lines?
a. Always
b. Almost always, but with rare exception
c. Seldom
d. Never. For the individual candidate only. I vote for individuals and often will write in a protest candidate.

9. Are you a single-issue voter? Merciful heavens no!

10. Would you like to share what issues are important to you? Those issues that bear on creating an equitable and sustainable society.

11. Are their any issues to which you are absolutely indifferent? Probably but can't think of any just now.

12. What party of political ideology do you identify with? Social Democratic but sadly there isn't such a party in this country.

education, civil liberties, environment

A lot of people running for things like to highlight that they fuck their spouses by citing 'parent' as an occupation or as a qualifier for office. I don't fucking care about that.

12. What party of political ideology do you identify with?


Libertarianism

13. Have you ever held a public office, or do you have any ambition to do so?

Never and no.
