I, the Defeating one bible chapter at a Time, I am on Facebook.

Theists want me to stop 'Bashing' their religion.

What a Theist Posted:

"To prevent any further flame wars, I respectfully request that you cease and desist this public religion bashing. I'm holding my tongue for the most part this time, but next time I can't garauntee such control.
@ Andrew, FYI, Christians do not believe atheists to be immoral, as christians are supposed to refrain from discrimination.
@ B, it'
s not about the need of a God to be afraid of, it's like, at least to me, having a mentor to help you along the way and give you advice. To help you see this better, do you follow the beliefs of Anarchy because you fear what would happen to you if you didn't? most likely no, and you follow them for your own reason, not out of fear. And no, I'm not fu*#@ in the head."

I posted:

 "
Why is it when Religious people spout their faith in your face and beat others over the head with it, why is that alright?

Why is it when Religion talks negativlely about other religions, it is fine? But Lo, when Atheist does it it shameful and looked down upon?! We have a right to a public and open forum, weather others like it or not! We are Americans and we have a right to freedom of speech!!"

What do you think?

Viva Atheism!!

P.S.  All names are protected in the interest of not having a massive wars on Facebook.

In addition, I would have also posted:
"Go ahead, cover your eyes and plug your ears, as you are free to do so, but I will not cater to your feelings. Sharia Law hasn't wrapped its tentacles around Facebook yet."
They can always choose not to read what you post, or to dump you from their friends list.
Ooh, I hope he didn't dump you from his will.
We are Americans and we have a right to freedom of speech!!

I have yet to see how the American constitution applies to the internet (as a whole.) Being American doesn't grant special privileges there as far as I can tell. OTOH moderators may have a right to ban you.

Jaume has a point.

OTOH moderators may have a right to ban you.

Always good to read the Terms of Service, and Site Rules and/or Guidelines of every site you join. It may be tedious, but it can be helpful.
I understand that Jaume, but a fellow atheist has found some material:

"I located this pertaining to a student's post regarding her teacher: The American Civil Liberties Union has also gotten in on the case, with ACLU attorney Matthew Bavaro telling CNN, "The First Amendment provides protection for free speech regardless of the forum, being the Internet, the living room or a restaurant.""

This is from " Thinks4Herself (Deb) "
See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil.

If he merely stops looking, everything turns out all right.

However, if he keeps reading your forum because of what you're posting... I do believe you've achieved the purpose of posting in the first place... people read it.
Would he insist we do not publicly bash Nazism? Remind him that he has no right to be preaching tolerance, as his ideology is fundamentally intolerant (Luke 19:27). We cannot tolerate intolerance or that which enables it. to quote Karl Popper:

"[...]Unlimited tolerance must lead to the disappearance of tolerance. If we extend unlimited tolerance even to those who are intolerant, if we are not prepared to defend a tolerant society against the onslaught of the intolerant, then the tolerant will be destroyed, and tolerance with them.[...]" - The Open Society and It's Enemies
It does on my Facebook account John, and I have a cyber ruler to back that up.
