Opinions anyone? The more I hear about it the more I appreciate it. Yeah, sure it's like the tea partiers, except these people seem to be more invested and willing to stay to make a point. It's all Rush and Beck can whine about lately, and despite the few advocating anarchy and communism, the main message seems to be about releasing this country from the strangle hold that business and corporations have on government. It's been a long time coming...

@ Sassan K.

A flag is a piece of cloth, a symbol. There's nothing to desecrate.  To value a piece of cloth over the health and well-being of people, both here and abroad, is appalling.  It's a fanaticism that's as bad as the worst types of religious fanaticism.

It's a matter of respect and dignity.

Sassan has more respect and dignity for a piece of cloth than he does for what it stands for. One of the great things that America does for its people is to provide them with freedom, something I think you wouldn't deny. And one of those freedoms is freedom of expression. Just because you don't agree with the message, or think that the vehicle for that message is wrong, doesn't mean that you can accuse people of being anti-American, especially those people who have served while you have not. It is a low form of thinking which regards the symbols of what one stands for higher than the actual principles. And yes, that kind of simplistic thinking is characteristic of fascism.

Have I ever made the claim that flag burning should be made illegal? This is what makes America the most free country in the world: you are allowed to be an anti-American self-hating scumbag. It is my right to express that sentiment as is one's right to be a self-hating and unappreciative scum in that America symbolizes freedom and hope worldwide. It is as simple as that.

Now you are trying to limit my free speech and you are talking about what is and what is not a characteristic of fascism?? Unbelievable.

In addition, my goodness look at the pictures of the other loons. 9/11 conspiracy theorists - people urinating in public - trash piled up in making their encampments a pile of trash - and hence, they threaten violence by not allowing the city to clean it! They in fact have the potential to hurt Obama and Democrats in the elections as Governor Rendell stated in an interview I posted. Simply look at their signs... it is a disgrace.
Oh come on man.  Desecrating an American flag is not anti-American and you know it.  Our constitution specifically allows for this form of protected political speech.  I think wanting to curtail freedom of speech that might offend you is the real anti-American line of thought here.  If you would quit being such a promoter of nationalism, you might realize that America was supposed to be about protecting the liberty of the individual, not the unquestioned worship of the government.
Sassan. You seem to have Fox news quality to your focus and spin. Just showing a lot of images and not considering what's going on with the big picture. You know these are real people, in many cases, hard working people, who can't get paid enough to make ends meet.
Oh, he loves Faux News! He thinks they are a top-quality news organization.
I simply consider them as legit as the mostly anti-American MSNBC.
So pro-Obama is now anti-American?
Nope, he is a politician. The sad and funny part is that these protesters actually hurt Obama with independents. And at this point, I want Obama to be reelected.
You just called a pro-Obama network "anti-American"  When are going to figure out that you can't have it both ways.  Or does that hurt your brain t much.
