Obama Thanksgiving address: Calls to unite behind WH, doesn’t thank God

Oh no! The President didn't thank God!

Big freaking deal! What happened to having your own personal beliefs? What happened to separation of church and state?

Seriously

“Yet again, President Obama’s Thanksgiving message eschewed any direct reference to thanking God, making this the fourth straight year in which the president of the United States has ignored the central message of the holiday in favor of political grandstanding,” the conservative Big Government reported.

Ugh, unbelievable.

Central message of the holiday!?  Fuck!  These people think their religion is the centerpiece of everything.  There is nothing inherently religious with Thanksgiving.

Maybe there is hope in Obama, yet. Perhaps he will see the needs of the planet as a human responsibility and concern. He might recognize the importance of focusing more on working people than on banks. It is possible he will see that warring gets us deeper into debt and acts of terrorism against us than acts of empowerment and flourishing of other nations and people. There might even be a realization that "growth" can be cancerous as well as developmental and the importance of being able to distinguish the difference. Is it possible he could perceive the need to get off fossil fuels and promote research and development on renewable and sustainable energy?
