A new study shows a significant decline in the number of Americans who identify as Protestants:

Interesting report.  It bears reading all of the way through - not all of the "nones" are atheists or agnostics.

You are absolutely correct, but I do believe it shows a weakening of the religious tradition. Probably the last step in a transformation from believer to unbeliever is declaring yourself and atheist or agnostic. In between there is a lot of "not-very-religious-at-all" expression.

Round where I live in Mass. the last log they drop from is the Universalist church.

It does show that religion is declining - a good sign.

No No there is a church for worshipping invisible but known aliens/ufo. Its already in germination.....I kid you not. It has all the similar traits.
