A new study shows a significant decline in the number of Americans who identify as Protestants:

Probably the last step in a transformation from believer to unbeliever is declaring yourself and atheist or agnostic. In between there is a lot of "not-very-religious-at-all" expression.

It does show that religion is declining - a good sign.
