The on not religous cheritable organizations I know of are humane societies.  Sometimes they will take things like desks and chairs and bookcases.

Donate to me. I'm a starving artist, trying to develop a universal moral system for humanity, but I am eternally distracted with surviving and could be much more productive with a little aid. I live very cheaply, so it wouldn't even cost much.
