As I'm driving into work this morning, I had the radio tuned to NPR. What came on was a fascinating interview with two women who had lost a loved one. One was an atheist at the time of the tragic death of her husband, and the other completely lost her faith as a result of the murder of her son. This was to me, one of those "driveway moments" where, even though I got to the office, I sat in my vehicle and listened to complete story.
The broadcast is here, and the transcript is here.
One thing that struck me, regarding the first ladies' tragedy, was the vulture-like Catholic priest in the hospital, preying over the dying.
