Hi! I'm new to the site and just wanted to introduce myself.
My name is Alex and I live in Kansas (actually a suburb of Kansas City). Becoming an atheist was one of the most liberating experiences of my life.
I have a son, and a new baby coming in June. I've had to work very hard to keep the fairy tale of religions out of my son's life. Strangely, it doesn't come so much from my family (2 atheist brothers, and agnostic sister, and parents who are understanding) but from the area we live. Lots and lots of godbots hanging about.
I'm really looking forward to being part of a group of like minded individuals. I'm a pretty open person, and love to talk, so feel free to add me as a friend.
