religion is the only the organization that I can think of in which its truest believers can commit the most heinous acts of violence, as often as not against other true believers, completely violating the bylaws set down in the scriptures of that religion, and then claim that their horrific acts were carried out in the name of their God, and with His blessing.
p.s. any government/military/law enforcement triad is another organization that comes to mind.
