I agree. And unfortunately, it's only getting worse.

It's no longer good enough for them to merely compete over the net, they've now got it in their heads that they need to dominate and control as well.

Printing press, Xerox, Cassettes, VCR's, history repeats itself. There will always be someone who feels that simply using the tools themselves isn't enough... they feel the need to tell everyone else if and how they're allowed to it themselves.
