The World’s Largest Coalition of Nontheists and Nontheist Communities!

This goes under "community" because I can't think of a better place for it. A friend and I recently split the leadership responsibilities of our free thought group as it was really two jobs. He's taking the large public events side of things and I'm taking the small private events side. This means parties.

I love throwing a good party. I think our first small event should be something like a movie night. We're college students so I was thinking of hosting "Left Behind: the drinking game." Booze, friends, and making fun of Kirk Cameron, sounds fantastic.

Does anyone have any ideas for drinking games rules?

Hmm... well if you want a drinking game that involves group interaction, you should DEFINITELY get your hands on this: The Ungame!

This game admittedly has no winners or losers, or even a good endpoint, so it's perfect for exploitation by drinkers and partiers. I suggest you place a few shots around the game board for people to land on, and as you get more and more intoxicated, the Christian aspect of this game will get more and more hilarious.

As far as a drinking game for a movie goes, I recommend you find that particular movie's IMDB page and read through the quotes list to find the worst ones. Perhaps print them out and cut them into strips, have participants reach into a basket to pick out a few, and have them take a shot when their quote is said on screen. For a more sophisticated approach, you can look the movie up on TV Tropes and do the same with the list of tropes (recommended for advanced players only).
I would have to actually watch the damn movie to come up with rules. But I did read a couple of the books.

DRINK EVERYTIME
...Any diety is uttered. Multiple dieties? Multiple drinks.
...Kirk Cameron looks at the camera as if to say "Good thing I really wouldn't be left behind!"
...A curse word would better color a scene (I admit, this is only because I really really really want Cameron to say "fuck", or at least "goddammit")
...A prophecy from Revelations shows up, but has "creative liberties" taken with it. (What that? Jesus is back? Does he have his Sword Tongue?)
...The word "Faith" is uttered

Its a start. And, based on that IMDB page, looks like faith alone will get you hammered.
The "faith" rule would get you fucking wasted if you played with shots. I actually took one for the team on this and watched the film today. I'll be serving beer so this shouldn't be over kill.

The rules I came up with are as follows,
1) Drink every time there is "mass hysteria"
2) whenever there's crappy CG
3) every time Mike Seaver is a badass.
4) whenever you see a bible, church or person praying.

These rules seem easy enough to follow and also encompass the flick's major themes.
I have friends who went to film school, so they'll say things like "why is this green-screened?" and "they keep switching filters!", and I have no idea how they can even tell.
beer pong was played at the last solstice by some strapping young lads

LOL, sigh, keep on rockn' in the free world
take a chess board, a couple of shot glasses and your liquor of choice.

every time you take a piece the other guy takes a shot, repeat.

pure awesome drinking game
You could do this with various card games as well.
