I thought I was agnostic... But aparently my definition of god is not considered god.

Hi CJ - I live in the North Suburbs of Motown. I was born in Dearborn almost 50 years ago... yikes!

There is an active Meetup group here. It's called Detroit Atheist Meetup (or DAM). Just search the name and you will find them.

And don't forget... Lift Detroit in Prayer... :^)

Welcome CJ,

I would not go so far as to say your definition of god is incorrect. Your definition sounds like the same one that Einstein used when referring to god, which is to say you don't believe in a personal god.

Einstein is a funny topic when it comes to religion as everyone is looking to have him on their side. I assume this is in an attempt to appeal to authority.

In any case, you may enjoy what Einstein has to say on the topic, Speaking of Faith interviewed some physicists on his views and I found that entertaining. The SOF people sure try to put Einstein on their side as often as they can but overall I found the podcast I listened to by them to be pretty fair.
