"i don't think the majority of Americans want to put up with the blue-bloods" - guess who.

"I don't want to concede that we have to get used to this kind of
thing, because i don't think the majority of Americans want to put up
with the blue-bloods — and i want to say it with all due respect
because I love the Bushes — the blue bloods who want to pick and chose
their winners instead of allowing competition," Palin

This happens all the time.

The blue-dogs eating the progressive. The insane eating the conservatives. Sarah Palin walks that fine line between being bat-shit crazy and the Republicans having no choice but to support her.

Here's what's going to happen: The tea partiers are going to be more of a pain in the ass to the Republicans than the Democrats are. If you thought the blue-dogs were a bunch of self-righteous assholes who didn't understand how Congress works, just watch these fucktards crash their way through everything. Whereas the Democratic Congress got very little done, this new Congress will get nothing done. Populist outrage will swing it's chubby fists wildly again without any sense of reason and the Democrats will retake the House and widen their lead in Congress in 2012.

This is all pretty much clockwork.
Louis, you were right that this congress will accomplish little, but unfortunately the public does not who to blame, in fact > ½ of Americans don’t know that Republicans have the house.

Republicans control the message so well that Dems, especially the President, will get blamed. Since the only response Dems have to Republicans is to bend over and grad their ankles, I think it would take another GWB sized clusterfuck for Dems to get the upper hand.
unfortunately when it comes to eating their own Republicans are complete amateurs in comparison to Democrats.

Pope's 'exorcism' caught on film video

There is a video of the Pope's 'exorcism' caught on film.  The man isn't demon possessed, there are likely no 'real' demons.  He's just delusional and doesn't want to accept personal responsiblity for his own behavior for his own dysfunctional life.

Do you support 'traditional' marriage, vot now ad

There is an ad that reads ' Do you support 'traditional' marriage? Vote Now"!  .

No, I don't support 'traditional' marriage because there is no such thing. I support heterosexual and same-sex couples marry each other legally , yes.  'Traditional' marriage promoters largely do not believe that heterosexual women are co-equal to their husbands.  Their only purpose in 'traditional' marriage is to sexually satisfy their husbands if they can and raise children and do all…

War on Christmas in May

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/05/21/texas-merry-christmas-bill_n_3312786.html?utm_hp_ref=politics

i've got no problem with everyone saying "merry christmas" on christmas day.  however, they've turned it into an entire holiday season where it lasts a month or more.  in those situations it should be perfectly acceptable to say "happy holidays" or call it a…

My first funeral as an atheist

Posted by Two Cult Survivor on May 21, 2013 at 11:30am 0 Comments

I posted the bulk of this on another thread, but wanted to add some context separately.

I finally confronted my faith and embraced the fact of my atheism late last August, 2012. Days after I revealed my "epiphany" to a few friends who knew me from another message board, my sister died from Lou Gehrig's Disease (which pissed her off because she hated catching a disease from someone she never f---ed).

THAT was my sister, understand? She was a beautiful, life-loving, potty-mouthed…
