I've been a non-believer for a few years, but only recently have been talking about it to a select few.  I am comfortable with what I am, but I do get a bit lonely here in an ultra conservative part of Texas.  I joined this group to meet some like minded individuals and perhaps to join in discussions that I would not be able to have with the local yokels.

Hope to talk to some of you soon,

What part of Texas isn't ultraconservative?

Welcome aboard the good ship Atheist Nexus. Most of the crew here is likeable, though ofttimes a few are a surly lot. The swag is thin pickins, but the fair winds and following seas are fine.

It is rare that one is becalmed by doldrums of religious conviction here.

Greets and salutes, Frizzle, we're glad you joined us!  Please feel free to speak your mind here.

Welcome, fellow apostate. Look forward to seeing you around here.

Yeah, welcome to A.N. I'm a little over a month into this site. Beats my old one. Feel free to express what's on your mind.

Welcome Frizzle.  If you are in or around Austin check out http://www.atheist-community.org/ also their Sunday show at http://www.ustream.tv/channel/the-atheist-experience.

Welcome to the heathen lot. Land of those who yearn to breathe free, even if only intellectually. Feel free to regale us with yarns of oppression, repression and impressions. While enjoying discussions of atheism itself, I prefer to look forward and discuss where I/we go from here. The political scene in this country needs some serious help.

It's nice to know we have a growing population in our corner of the universe.

I am located in Newnan, Ga and have my own atheist group entitled "Coweta County Atheists".  I am currently being backed by Spaulding Co.…

Pope's 'exorcism' caught on film video

Posted by Debra Stevenson on May 21, 2013 at 2:37pm 0 Comments

There is a video of the Pope's 'exorcism' caught on film.  The man isn't demon possessed, there are likely no 'real' demons.  He's just delusional and doesn't want to accept personal responsiblity for his own behavior for his own dysfunctional life.

Do you support 'traditional' marriage, vot now ad

There is an ad that reads ' Do you support 'traditional' marriage? Vote Now"!  .

No, I don't support 'traditional' marriage because there is no such thing. I support heterosexual and same-sex couples marry each other legally , yes.  'Traditional' marriage promoters largely do not believe that heterosexual women are co-equal to their husbands.  Their only purpose in 'traditional' marriage is to sexually satisfy their husbands if they can and raise children and do all…
