Hi I'm Katie and I am sooo excited to see that there is an actual site like this. I'm from a small town and have never actually meet another atheist so I feel so much less alone knowing there are so many other people out there like me.

Hi, Katie. I'm from a tiny hole-in-the-wall town in PA, so I know exactly where you're coming from. I second someone's suggestion to watch the Atheist Experience if you can. It's not only entertaining, it's very comforting.

Yeah, besides the fun, dropkick-a-fundie calls, there are a lot of Dear Abby calls from Atheists trying to figure out how to deal with Christian friends and family, once they come out of the closet.

Howdy and welcome from another small town in midwest USA. One good thing I can relate from my experience is that the more people that get to know I'm an atheist, the more who start to come out the closet around here and admit to their doubts. In a lot of ways, it's quite refreshing.
