Hi everyone!

Hey everybody, just thought I'd introduce myself before I got started posting anywhere else.

My name is Ash, and as you probably guessed, I'm new the site. I'm a senior at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, studying English and Education. I'm hoping to find a job as a high school teacher once I finish my degree.

I suppose I could classify myself as a bit of a geek...my interests are literature, comic books, cosplay, renaissance festivals, and learning in general. I love the pursuit of knowledge and never want to stop with it, which is why I'm becoming a teacher ^_^

I'm happy to find a community of like-minded free-thinkers, as far as religion (or rather, lack thereof) is concerned. I'm looking forward to getting to know you guys!

Now all I can think of is that old episode of Pokemon where Ash dresses up as a girl, and Team Rocket introduces him as Ash... LEY!

You should learn a lot hanging around here. It's a cool place. Sometimes it will drive you insane (everyone thinks they know best) but sometimes you just can't live without it. :)

Welcome! I'm a renaissance festival person too. If I didn't have to work today, I'd be at the MD RennFest. :)
