Hello, my name is Carl, I am 30 years old, I live in Flint, MI.  I have been an atheist since the age of 13.  I did not grow up in a very religious family, now that I think of it I was the one that was the most active with religion, going to church/bible study with friends.  I think what lead me to being an atheist was just being honest about what I believed and accepting the fact that there was no evidence for gods, ghosts, hell, etc.

A little more about myself.  I have been living a vegan lifestyle for the past five years. I have many hobbies and interests, I enjoy reading, amateur video game programming, sci-fi movies/stories.

I would very much like to find new friends that share similar points of view.

Welcome Carl,

As an AZ resident I have come to know many people from MI. Its like they all got tired of the cold and thought fuck it, I'm done with the winter. =)
Yeah a lot of people get sick of their cars rusting to nothing from all the salt they put on the roads during the winter lol.
Hi Carl, I'm from Romulus, Michigan (not too far from you), but moved south many moons ago. I don't miss the winters a bit (even though the result of a lovely heavy snowfall is a great thing to behold). My car is over 20 years old and still going strong. I loves my little Toyotee Carollee. I doubt it would have survived that long up there in the Siberian mitten.

I have seen some great science fiction discussions here. You are in the right place.
Thanks for the welcome Linda. I do agree a nice strong snow is great, only if you live on one of the Flint streets that the city can afford to plow the next day lol. I know of Romulus but never stopped by there. I look forward to checking out some of your SciFi discussions, but i'm still learning to navigate the site.
