Hello everyone. I would like to introduce myself. :)

My name is Sarah and I have recently discovered atheism. Now when I say I recently discovered it, I mean that before now I had not even known there was a choice of not having a belief. Strangely enough, it was the television shows that constantly criticized religion that showed me just how foolish a belief in a deity(or deities) was. Comedians like Lewis Black, Bill Maher, and George Carlin's made jokes in good humor but they always left me thinking about the outragous claims religions made. After getting internet in our home, I figured what the hell, I'll check out some arguments that these atheist comedians have made against christians and see which one has the best case. Atheists won every time and the christians never seemed to accept defeat (not in the whole enduring way, but rather like a child would refuse to accept an adult's answer by sticking fingers in their ears and yelling to drown out the sound of the adult's voice). Hahaha as you can plainly see, the atheists argument made more sense and after much consideration I decided that I could no longer find any reason to believe in god. Sorry for rambling and thank you to everyone who has taken their time to read this thread.

For me, it was listening to podcasts and public radio, in which authors and professors often provided evolutionary and psychological explanations for human behavior.
