Gay Atheist LBGT organizer who joined today!

Just took the new position with the local atheist group to make more of the LGBT community know that they have options and support from other gay and straight like-minded folks. This my first time on Atheist Nexus!

After attending the Reason Rally and the American Atheist convention, I came back with tons of enthusiasm, but zero budget. (We are an all volunteer group with no tax exempt status.)

So, I am asking for ideas from everyone as to what they can suggest as activities or methods of spreading the word without monitary funds. We have discussion meet ups but I need 'events'. And I need articles and/ or print ads.

My first event, last night was at a gay bar singing Karaoke. It was so loud and crowded that there was not much chance for anyone to even hear themselves much less talk.

Whether you are straight or gay or whatever, how do you spread the word?
