Ezekiel 37:1-10 “The hand of the LORD was upon me, and he brought me out by the Spirit of the LORD and set me in the middle of a valley; it was full of bones. He led me back and forth among them, and I saw a great many bones on the floor of the valley, bones that were very dry. He asked me, 'Son of man, can these bones live?' I said, 'O Sovereign LORD, you alone know.' Then he said to me, 'Prophesy to these bones and say to them, ‘Dry bones, hear the word of the LORD! This is what the Sovereign LORD says to these bones: I will make breath enter you, and you will come to life. I will attach tendons to you and make flesh come upon you and cover you with skin; I will put breath in you, and you will come to life. Then you will know that I am the LORD.' So I prophesied as I was commanded. And as I was prophesying, there was a noise, a rattling sound, and the bones came together, bone to bone. I looked, and tendons and flesh appeared on them and skin covered them, but there was no breath in them. Then he said to me, 'Prophesy to the breath; prophesy, son of man, and say to it, ‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says: Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe into these slain, that they may live.' So I prophesied as he commanded me, and breath entered them; they came to life and stood up on their feet - a vast army.

Dry bones of many came together, flesh and skin attached, they became alive and formed an army. [Christianity and Other Superstitions]

Believe it or not, some stupid ministers will preach on this and make a big deal as if it really was true and really did happen. Upon closer reading however, you can see why some today want to throw away the Old Pesterment and just live by the new, claiming everything is about Jesus.

Why is all of this happening? In todays Internet world you cannot escape from the superstition and idiocy of the Old Testament. It's also very easy today to see that claims are made for way too many people to have been raised from the dead. The claims are outrageous and they fear it will take away from the significance of Jesus.

Christians have gotten a little bit smarter but they just won't give up.

It's also very easy today to see that claims are made for way too many people to have been raised from the dead????  Name some, please.  I am interested.

Your account here from Ezekiel is the raising of an army. Google it on how many from the bible raised from the dead and you get about 10 others. This did not say anything for the gospel account that on the crucifiction "many graves were opened and the people were seen walking around in the city." It didn't say how many people all together. Some want to claim that even Paul was raised from the dead after his stoning. With so many brought back to life what did "many graves were opened" mean? How many and who were the people? Apparently it wasn't important to say. Under these magical circumstances how could Jesus ever be "the first fruits of the dead?" It looks like resurrection was pretty common back then.

You are right. I had forgotten about that. Now I can add that to a talking snake, a man living in a big fish, a woman turning into a pillar of salt, a talking donkey, a virgin birth and a god who kills every human on earth except for one family and makes a commandment “Thou shall not kill.”

Stephen,   you just  stated  the many  reasons why I, along  with so many others, have become  Atheists......Rational  Thinking has saved us and  hopefully  many more will follow....
