Fighting street gangs (letter to the editor)

It wasn't my letter. Somebody with an East Indian sounding name wrote it, a woman I believe. I guess standing in the street and chanting ANYTHING is better than engaging in a drive-by shooting, but the basic premise (ascribing supernatural power to words per se) is really nonsense.

That gal sounds like a Hare Krishna to me, and I've been around and around with them ... as was George Harrison:

I used to eat a lot of free food cooked and served by the Krishnas. It sure beat anything I ever had at a Christian-sponsored soup kitchen.
