I picked up a copy of Sorcerer's Stone within the first month of it's release in the states, I was unable to put it down, and not even half-way through, I can remember looking up to my mother, and telling her Professor Snape was 'totally freakin awesome'.
Some twelve years later, I may not use the exact terminology I did as a rather nerdy 9 year old, but I am hard pressed to disagree.
He's still one of my favorite literary characters, and a good bit of my fanfiction centers around him, though in the past couple years I've branched out some.
