Ex-VP candidate famous for her religious faith, makes speech about her breasts.

So much for intelligent political discussion.

That ex-governor (I can't bring myself to type her name) - once a  supposedly serious candidate for vice president, if she had won (I know, she didn't) a potential thromboembolism away from the presidency, former political commentator for major network, known for her puritain christian religiosity and social conservatism.

She stands in front of cameras and audience at major conservative political conference....  and references her breasts and, by inference to phallic imagery, her husband's penis.

And of course, the conservative republican audience cheers.

What would Jesus say?

What would anyone say about the importance of at least some degree of adulthood in political discussion?

I wonder what would happen if her political adversary -ie, President Obama, made a speech with sexual innuendo / comparable imagery?

I don't even know what to say...

I know what to say. In the words of the late, great, George Carlin, "I wouldn't fuck her with a stolen dick!"

Eeeww, but LOL!  I love George Carlin.

Couldn't help but notice her selection of drink. Was I the only one who pictured her (fittingly) on the set of Dumb and Dumber?

As an aside, there has to be a secular equivalent to her joke.

Let's see... how about:

"Nasa's got the new SLS rocket and the solar system's got the 7th planet from our sun?"

I can't even stand to see Sarah Palin or to hear her shrill voice.  She seriously makes my blood-pressure go up!

I know I reveal how stupid I am, but what is the joke?

"Rack" is slang for breasts.  Mainly among boys and men who haven't grown up mentally.  You have too much class to know the term.  Taking the imagery one step further, when she's talking about her breasts in slang, referring to her husband's rife brings up phallic imagery - not subtle, and her audience is in on the joke.  It also gives her "redneck credibility" for knowing the expression.

There's a country song - probably more than one - with this expression.

Like here.

"She’s ten pounds of sugar in a five pound sack
A long straight away on a quarter mile track
She got a kiss that’ll hit you like a heart attack
I got the rifle she’s got the rack and

She cranks, she cranks, she cranks my tractor"

Sarah Palin wouldn't know how to crank an old phonograph, never mind a tractor.

Oh dear! I see my education has some weak spots. Thanks Sentient.

Loved her jab at Obama's use of a teleprompter...while standing at a podium...flanked by two teleprompters.  There really is no such thing as too stupid or too extreme for the Far Right.

The Rednecks are coming, the Rednecks are coming

Actually, the rednecks are here and everywhere. Let me say, I'm not a big fan of these people. That's putting it mildly. Need I describe them? You know who I mean. This seems to be the time of year when they come out of the woodwork. Here in Indiana, as the weather gets nice, the motorcyclists are out in full force. I hate the noise cycles make. Then there's the Indianapolis 500 fans, the majority of which are rednecks. Interview them or a typical Pacer fan (big news as they face the Miami…See More
