Drugs and cults, which are known bad, do harm many people, why?
There are many things harm people's lives, such as poison, took heroin for instance, at first which is not used to harm people, only with anesthesia used, because the surgery is too painful, so take heroin to the anesthesia, but some people think heroin can make money, now it becomes a drug that everyone hates. Why would those people want to take drugs ? Because the drug is addictive!
There are some cult is harmful too, for example, Falun Gong is. To "physical health" as a pretext, saying that "spiritual cultivation", in fact, want you to "cut off your family"; lied to "cure-all", in fact, harm you indeed; saying there be end of the world, if following master studying Zhuan Falun you will go to heaven, in the end ,some people believed the results, following Li Hongzhi, studying for many years, has not "completion", resulting in a number of family tragedies.

i dont know why the harm people

that is why i have to write these

I will substitute religion for cult as from my vantage point they are all the same.

Something could be said for abuse rather than use. When used as prescribed, most religions and drugs are not directly harmful to the individual. One can abuse just about anything to the point of lethality. Just look at the 17 year old girl in the UK that suddenly collapsed and is now in the hospital because she ate nothing but chicken nuggets since she was 3.

However, the problem with religion is that it is very much like highly addictive drugs such as heroin. Most religion provides the addict with the false notion of an afterlife or a "do over" through reincarnation. When this is that case, they do not live their lives as it is the only one. Furthermore, reliance on a deity causes the addict to not make decisions for themselves and instead of addressing their problems directly, they "give it to god". Drug addicts do this too when the addiction has become so great that their entire day from the minute they wake up revolves around trying to get another hit.

So in my opinion, every cult, and every religion has potential to be harmful, regardless of how benign it appears to be on the onset.

is the interest towards science and nature a cult? or... is it that some folks that are mental and nihilists (cuz the cult their parents were part; they got abused etc..) seem to be the rotten apples.. of society? and.. get tah zen skateboarding! word!

indeed. seems to go back to not having the where-with all apart form whatever faith-based org. . . to think for yourself; not what to think but how to think. thus the saga continues

legalize weed; thank goodness beers legal aaaaand hardcore punk rock and roll!
