I remember Sheen, though only vaguely, as a television presence back in the day, some 50+ years ago.  I suppose he may have been among the first television preachers, though nothing like what Pat Robertson became later.  Doubtless, he came across as avuncular and benign, but there's no mistaking that his was one of the first feet in the door.

To be honest, I'd keep every dumb ass televangelist, bigoted preacher, and nonsensical youtube apologist, if William Lane Craig would just disappear. There's not a theist on this god damn earth who I loathe more than that man, and I can't for the life of me understand why christians can't see him for what he really is: a gish-galloping rhetorician asshole, not a respected philosopher.

I'll grant you, Joel Osteen is pretty slimy, though.
