Good article, thank you. Of course they want to allay our fears of the push for theocracy. But I don't think they're fooling anyone. Fundamentalists and tea partiers score low on opinion polls. I hope an uber religious candidate gets the Republican nomination. That will mobilize Democrats to get out and vote. One reason the tea partiers made such a splash last time is because it wasn't a Presidential election and there was a lower voter turnout. They've been around long enough now to have revealed their religious face, and Americans are turning away.
