CALL FOR SUBMISSION
We would like to invite you to submit your articles and essay for the first print and iPad publication of the Humanist Magazine Asia . Any one can submit more than one article or prose for this issue. We are keen to accepting articles creative and kind of artsy literature; the following list is the variety of articles which we are willing to accept. The rolling deadline of the submission is every 15th of the month, EST. 11:59pm. Please kindly send your submissions online through firstname.lastname@example.org.
The accepted articles shall be published in our magazine and each published writer shall receive a free hard print copy of this issue:
n 200-300 opinion articles on one or more of the following question:
o Do you believe in Alain de Botton’s statement that atheists need 'religion'? Yes or no?
o Do humans naturally exhibit empathy or are we naturally selfish?
o Does evolution explain human nature? Yes or no?
o Punitive or Restorative justice?
n 400-500 word book reviews on any of the following:
o God Delusion by Richard Dawkins
o God is not Great by Christopher Hitchens
o Religion for Atheist by Alain de Botton
o A Letter to a Christian Nation by Sam Harris
o Any other book reviews with regards to creative-expository science books such as but not limited to:
§ The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks by Rebecca Skloot
§ Cosmos by Carl Sagan
§ Age of Empathy by Franc De Waal
§ Silent Spring by Rachael Carson
§ The Selfish Gene Richard Dawkins
n Poetry (preferably 100-200 words but 400 word limit) or Flash fiction (400-500):
o For this issue, we would like to call for poems that delves into the portrayal of , desolation, hopelessness and existence.
