Hello! I have exhausted my current supply of reading material and am looking for some new books! I am going to pick up Neil deGrasse Tyson's 'Space Chronicles', any other suggestions? I'm big into sci-fi and some fantasy. Help! :)

…and my next read: "A Universe from Nothing: Why There Is Something Rather than Nothing" by Lawrence M. Krauss.
For Science Fiction, …ever read any Spider Robinson books?

Oh well, there goes the bulk of my SF suggestions… ha ha.
Permalink Reply by Sarah on March 1, 2012 at 12:38pm Oh and I forgot that Sam Harris' new book is coming out in a few days!

Permalink Reply by Regina M on March 1, 2012 at 12:53pm "Conversations with Carl Sagan" is just lovely. Also anything by Michael Shermer, especially "Why People Believe Weird Things." If you can stomach his ego, James Randi's "Flim-Flam" and "Mask of Nostradamus" are at least worth checking out from your local library if you have the luck.
I'll presume that you've read the Wheel of Time series, but if not, I'm in the middle of it and enjoying it. I'm also contemplating dipping my toe into the Discworld series, but holy cow! 27 books???!!!
Permalink Reply by Sarah on March 1, 2012 at 1:18pm I've been on a big Sagan kick as of late, so definitely going to check to see if that title is at my library.
I've read "Flim-Flam" but not "Mask of Nostradamus", not in a Randi mood right now, but I'll put it on my list.
Michael Shermer is great!
I started the Wheel of Time series, but found them a bit slow...might revisit them sometime.
Definitely start Discworld! I thought the same thing, but the books go by really quick!
Permalink Reply by Regina M on March 2, 2012 at 12:10pm OK-I shall dig into Discworld! The only other Terry Pratchett book I've read is "Small Gods"-which I'm afraid turned into one of those "put it down, pick it up two weeks later, put it down, forget where I put it, find it, put it down, lost under a pile of stuff on desk" type of reads.
Permalink Reply by Loren Miller on March 1, 2012 at 1:10pm I'm a big Heinlein fan as well. That said, you may enjoy Lord of Light by Roger Zelazny. Roger has something like RAH's sense of humor and an engaging "voice," by my ears. I also enjoyed it because going in, I knew something about the Hindu pantheon, so the characters became familiar more quickly.
I think it's a great read and I do recommend it. For fantasy, you might try Nightwings by Robert Silverberg.
