Bill Nye the Science Guy receives top humanist award in San Jose

On Sunday, June 6, the man known to millions of children as Bill Nye the Science Guy, will be named the American Humanist Association's 2010 Humanist of the Year at the 69th Annual AHA Conference. Nye, who was the host of of the Emmy-award winning Disney children's science show, Bill Nye the Science Guy, from 1993 to 1998, has also written five science books for children, hosted "100 Greatest Discoveries" on the Science Channel as well as  "the Eyes of the Nye" on PBS.

Bill I loved that dude when I was a kid.
I watched Bill Nye the Science Guy even though it was geared to a younger audience. I appreciate what he has done to promote science to kids. Congrats Bill!!
My home is filled with Bill Nye videos (my son's favorite). Because of him my three year old can explain the difference between complete and incomplete metamorphosis, has some understanding of thermodynamics, and knows just about everything about the solar system. Congrats Bill!
Yeah, I need to get some Bill Nye for my daughter to watch.
