I was in another forum when I noticed advertisement for two bible study sites.

oh and bible, online.. does not compute. defeats the old-world-ink n' paper of the gods purpose no? LOL sighh....

Im not on the board, and I don't have inside information on Nexus finances, but I've been around a while and this comes up from time to time.

Nexus is funded mainly by google ads.  Currently there is a nearly $3,000 shortage of funds.  Google ads are based on who ever wants to advertise based on internet filtering or search  terms.  All of those theist ads are basically supporting Atheist Nexus.

I just bought a Amazon Kindle Fire through the Amazon.com link.  That way some $$ goes to Nexus through Amazon.

As a Nexus old-timer, I remember when there was discussion about ways to obtain money to support nexus.  My thought was paid memberships, with various levels of membership which could have various levels of reward.  That went over like a lead balloon.  Fund drives didn't bring in a lot, although some of us once had a fund drive where we had matching contributions.  However in the end it looks like its the google advertising and the amazon links that bring in money.  And the occasional fund drive- there is one going on now, see the Chip-In over the Amazon link.

A bible study is actually a cool idea, if done by secularists.  But not if done by bible thumpers.
