Belgian authorities have raided the headquarters of the Belgian Catholic Church during an investigation into child sex abuse claims. A spokesman for the Brussels prosecutors' office confirmed that the palace of the Archbishop of Mechelen-Brussels had been sealed off.

"What happened is just so awful. The teenagers started throwing stones the moment our dance group was announced, even before they started dancing." Charlotte Knobloch, president of the Central Council of Jews in Germany, told the Die Welt newspaper that anti-Semitic feelings were widespread in both far-right and Muslim communities in the country. "It particularly saddens me that those anti-Semitic views can already be seen with such vehemence among children and youths," she said.

I finally got the drift now w/the whole 'semitic' ancient lingo thing:
Semite |ˈsemīt|
noun a member of any of the peoples who speak or spoke a Semitic language, including in particular the Jews and Arabs. ORIGIN from modern Latin Semita, via late Latin from Greek Sēm ‘Shem,’ son of Noah in the Bible, from whom these people were traditionally supposed to be descended.

IMHO, screw my opinion this time. Inaction, action. Anytime a person, family or organization tries to ride their label to side-step the Constitution or destroy common sense you end up with problem$. Corruption has a way with exhibition and screwing the hard working honest types. Then the honest types get revolutionary, for example through the internet and so many other modern ways.

* I had to make some word up, they do!

I'm sorry, but I'm confused as to what you are trying to say. These both occurred in Europe, but in the last paragraph you mention the Constitution (using your capitalization) seeing as you live in the U.S. like I do, it can be assumed you mean ours, which has not power over Germany or Belgium. The question is are you upset that people are raiding the Catholic offices and stoning Jewish dancers or that there are Catholic offices and Jewish dancers?
This is not to be rude or critical, just requesting some clarification.
Yeah, faith-based initiatives are basically a side-stepping of the U.S. Constitution.
Michelle, Shamus is our Dada artist-in-residence. Or maybe not. Either way, I wouldn't spend too much time worrying about it. Just think of it as spontaneous street art.
ah SSA, I like.
Uck!And in Germany no less? Why in the world are some foreign immigrant muslims telling Jews to 'get out?' Its sad that one dancer was seriously injured in her leg.

Not believing in an afterlife does not mean i am a "sad' person.

I work in healthcare in a long term care facility and I deal with death on a regular basis. About a year ago the opportunity arose for me to take a palliative care course through my work.  I enjoyed it for the most part. It dealt with topics such as end of life care, pain relief and addressing the spiritual needs of different individuals based on their religious beliefs. There was one instance however that was decidedly unpleasant, and unfortunately really overshadowed the rest of my time in the…See More
