I'm from an very Orthodox Jewish community south of Jerusalem. Yup, I'm outnumbered too! :D It's one of those "Oh, wow, I'm an atheist! Oh crap, this is gonna get really weird..." lol So this is my outlet.

Welcome to the Nexus!

Your outlet and mine too. :)

I think those of us in the US should be grateful. Compared to Iran, Israel etc... we have a lot of freedoms we take for granted.

Thomas, you're right about our taking freedoms for granted. We here in the US have people putting a lot of energy and money into their efforts to impose their xianity on all of us. They won't quit soon.

Xianity owned the map of the world for 1500 years and led mankind into darker times

I think Pope Francis will recognize non-believers

Welcome, Shillamus!  I think the new pope already "recognized" us.  On his second day, he said that unless you pray to Jesus Christ, you pray to Satan.  Sorry to dash your hopes.

Norwegian here. Hi everyone!

Ich komme aus der Landeshauptstadt von Thüringen: Erfurt, das liegt genau in der Mitte Deutschlands.

Früher war das ein Teil der 'Deutschen Demokratischen Republik' (GDR).

I come from the state capital of Thuringia Erfurt, which is exactly in the middle of Germany.
It used to be a part of the "German Democratic Republic" (GDR).

Welcome both of you. I served in the US Arny in West Germany, very beautiful. Hope you the site.
