What's your favorite 'atheist' song? (Mine is John Mayer's 'Belief'.)
...Or at least one you interpret as atheist in nature...

I have to go with "imagine" John Lennon, although I prefer Jack Johnsons cover to the original.
Same for me...I've always enjoyed Imagine.

This came to mind first for me too.

Oh, and I love Lily Allen's 'Fuck You'.
"...your point of view is medieval..."
"People" by Andrew Jackson Jihad.
"I have faith in my fellow man, and I only hope that he has faith in me."

Or, even better, "People II: The Reckoning"
"Everything is real, but it's also just as fake: From your daughter's birthday party to your grandmother's wake."
Some of these are actually non-religious, others I'm just interpreting as such. :P

Imagine- John Lennon (This one is a given, I think)

Soul Society- Kamelot
"How can we believe in heaven?
Human reason counters all ideas of a soul society
My life is just a fragment of the universe and all
There must be more that I can see"

Dear God- XTC
"Dear God, hope you got the letter, and...
I pray you can make it better down here.
I don't mean a big reduction in the price of beer
But all the people that you made in your image, see
Them starving on their feet 'cause they don't get
Enough to eat from God, I can't believe in you"

Hand That Feeds- Nine Inch Nails (This one is supposedly about the war, but the concept applies)
"What if this whole crusade's a charade
And behind it all there's a price to be paid
For the blood on which we dine
Justified in the name of the holy and the divine"

The Truth Beneath the Rose- Within Temptation (still a bit religious, but with some good punches at holy wars)
"Give me strength to face the truth, the doubt within my soul
No longer I can justify the bloodshed in his name
Is it a sin to seek the truth, the truth beneath the rose?"
I forgot one!

Heaven's A Lie- Lacuna Coil
"Faithless" by Rush is probably my favorite at the moment. "The Way The Wind Blows" off the same album (Snakes and Arrows) is good too.
Rush also has a new song called "BU2B" (Brought up to believe):

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VSgiFuGOZW4

I was brought up to believe
The universe has a plan
We are only human
It's not ours to understand

The universe has a plan
All is for the best
Some will be rewarded
And the devil will take the rest

All is for the best
Believe in what we're told
Blind man in the market
Buying what we're sold
Believe in what we're told
Until our final breath
While our loving Watchmaker
Loves us all to death

In a world of cut and thrust
I was always taught to trust
In a world where all must fail
Heaven's justice will prevail

The joy and pain that we receive
Each comes with its own cost
The price of what we're winning
Is the same as what we've lost

Until our final breath
The joy and pain that we receive
Must be what we deserve
I was brought up to believe
This came up on another forum and I posted the same thing. Rush has been athiest inspired lyrics for over 30 years but Neil has definately made it a theme over the last few albums and especially the two new songs so far released on the upcoming album.

The lyric in Caravan, the other song, "In a world lit only by fire" is from the book titled the same by William Manchester and is pretty much a history of the harm religon has done to society up through medieval times.

All good stuff.
