Atheism and Carl Sagan! I love my journey

It's been a long time when I self realized myself (I didnt need a bodhi tree like Buddha), but simple questions which my peers could not answer pushed me to the damn necessity of committing otherwise considered as blasphemy, that is questioning the existence all power full GOD.

Finally today I have reached a stage where I can comfortably debate why theists are so wrong in having a all imaginary and all imaginary powerful friend they love to carry with them and show an empty space in their brain and say hey look god is going to fill that up!

I loved Carl Sagan's movie "Contact" Judie Foster who enacts atheist scientists role actually depicts all us; other hypocrite characters in the movie make us realize how small we are in the entire universe and how little we know about the same.

Its a shame that our previous generations always pointed out at something supernatural to explain the wonderful universe we have than encouraging them to explore it by themselves. No wonder we have so many thiests, it is not their mistake, it is their parents and grandparents.

Lets not make irrational mistakes with our children, am for sure always encouraging my daughter to have Einstein, Tesla or Carl Sagan around rather than few GOD or GODDESS pictures!

We cant say to the theists let GOD save you, only we all can as good friends who care for them, we need to have a sane and healthy society and anything for it!

When you say "...enacts atheist scientists role actually depicts all us;..." do you mean that it depicts atheists or atheistic scientists well?

Yes I meant she represents the Athiest mindset, which is largely scientific.

My road to proper atheism was also helped along thanks to Carl Sagan (around this time last year) I was in bed for 2 weeks do to vertigo and spent my days watching science channel and they were showing the Cosmos series a lot.

But if you enjoyed the movie Contact I highly recommend you buy the book, it's a million times better then the movie!

The Brain is a unique and powerful thing. Science is discovering more and more each day regarding it's abilities and capabilities.

It was the simple line in Contact that put me over the Atheistic mountain top. "Prove It" said to me that The God of Religion resides ONLY in the Mind of the individual. One who can not totally think for them self, would naturally be a prime candidate for some type of mind control (brainwashing).
